Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley has been active on social media, expressing season's greetings, discussing community art opportunities, and addressing public health concerns. Her communications reflect an ongoing commitment to her constituents in Massachusetts’ 7th District. On April 12, Pressley celebrated the beginning of Passover with her constituents. She shared a message wishing peace and blessings, stating, "Chag Pesach Sameach! Wishing peace and blessings to everyone in the #MA7 & around the world preparing for the first night of Passover. May this be a time to gather, reflect, and share joy in community."
A day later, Pressley reached out to local high school art students in her district. She reminded them of the approaching submission deadline for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, urging participation via a tweet, " #MA7 High-school art students: Our submission deadline is coming up for our 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Also on April 13, Pressley addressed a serious health issue. She focused on the use of formaldehyde in products affecting Black women and girls, raising concerns with the FDA over regulatory delays, stating, "Formaldehyde continues to contribute to a public health crisis on Black women & girls. By using products with this harmful chemical, they face higher risks of breast & uterine cancer. We wrote to @US_FDA demanding answers on the continued delay in implementing its ban."
Pressley, born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1974, has lived in Boston and represents Massachusetts' 7th District with a focus on issues such as public health and community engagement. The Congresswoman continues to engage her constituents through various initiatives.
