Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts' 7th district, recently communicated on social media about various issues. Pressley, a member of the U.S. Congress since 2019, has been vocal on both domestic and international matters, ranging from individual rights to economic policies.

On April 5, Pressley shared concerns via social media about the detention of a woman named Sarahi and her young children at the Canadian border. She describes the event as a violation of Constitutional rights, stating "For nearly a week, Sarahi & her 1 year-old and 5 year-old kids—who are citizens—were detained in a windowless office by the Canadian border and denied access to a lawyer. This heinous act violated their Constitutional rights and endangered the lives of children."

Later on the same day, Pressley addressed economic concerns related to the actions of former President Donald Trump. She criticized the tariffs imposed during his administration, asserting "Donald Trump’s tariffs are hurting consumers and wrecking our economy. And he couldn’t care less. He’s driving our allies away, forcing families to pay higher prices, & walking us to an economic crisis."

On April 6, Pressley took to the House floor to commend Ms. Alfreda Harris for her contributions, stating "I rose on the House floor to give Ms. Alfreda Harris her well-deserved flowers. A living legend, mother of movements, & a champion for everyone who calls Boston home. She is a source of inspiration for many & has not stopped being a history-maker."
