Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 7th district since 2019, recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. Her comments ranged from healthcare policies to cultural celebrations.

On January 28, 2025, Pressley criticized the reinstatement of the Global Gag Rule by former President Trump. She stated, "Trump reinstated the #GlobalGagRule which will close essential health clinics and deny patients the care they need." Pressley described this action as a "direct attack on reproductive healthcare around the globe" and pledged to oppose it as co-chair of the Reproductive Caucus.

The following day, January 29, 2025, she extended greetings for Lunar New Year to her constituents and others worldwide. She expressed her wishes by saying, "Happy Lunar New Year to those in the #MA7 and across the globe." Pressley wished for a "healthy and prosperous year ahead" as part of celebrating the Year of the Snake.

Later that same day, Pressley commented on Trump's attempt to cut funding for critical programs such as Medicaid and SNAP. She remarked that people responded with dismay but noted a positive outcome: "People in my district and across the country spoke out in horror. And now, he's backing down." She emphasized that focusing on people's needs can lead to successful outcomes.
