On January 29, 2025, Pressley expressed her honor in celebrating the Lunar New Year with Caroline Chang’s family. She highlighted the importance of a newly enacted bill that commemorates Chang's life and legacy by naming the first federal building in Massachusetts after an Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) person. Pressley stated, "Honored to spend #LunarNewYear with Caroline Chang’s family to celebrate the enactment of our bill to honor her life & legacy."

The following day, on January 30, 2025, she conveyed her sorrow over a tragic plane crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). In a heartfelt message, she extended her prayers for those affected and gratitude towards first responders. Pressley's tweet read: "The plane crash at DCA is absolutely heartbreaking.
