Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, representing Massachusetts' 7th district since 2019, has shared her thoughts on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Pressley, who succeeded Mike Capuano in Congress and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, has been vocal about transit equity, international aid, and foreign policy.

On February 5, 2025, Pressley commemorated Rosa Parks’ 112th birthday by highlighting the importance of #TransitEquityDay. She stated, “The only tired I was, was tired of giving in.” She emphasized the need for investment in sustainable and accessible transit systems to honor Parks' legacy and role in transit justice and policy.

Later that day, Pressley expressed her support for USAID as a crucial agency for global safety and health. In a separate tweet posted on February 5, she called for Elon Musk's immediate dismissal, criticizing his actions as an assault on government operations.

In another post from February 5, Pressley condemned suggestions regarding the ethnic cleansing and permanent displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. Addressing President Biden directly via Twitter handle @POTUS, she described such actions as “disgusting & unacceptable” and referred to them as genocide. She urged a focus on rebuilding peace rather than contributing to further trauma among Palestinians. Her comments can be found here.
