On February 12, 2025, Congresswoman Pressley tweeted about the significance of the HR40 Reparations bill. She stated that it is "an essential step toward repairing the harm of slavery and its aftermath." She emphasized the importance of pursuing healing and reparatory justice amidst what she described as an "onslaught of anti-Black, anti-DEI policy." The tweet was shared during Black History Month.
