Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, representing Massachusetts' 7th district, has expressed her concerns over recent policy actions by former President Donald Trump through a series of tweets. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Mike Capuano, Pressley has been vocal about various issues impacting her constituents and the nation.

On February 10, 2025, Pressley criticized Trump's decision to cut funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), stating that it is a "reckless attack on science, innovation, and the people who depend on them." She warned that this move would severely impact critical research, result in job losses, and endanger lives, particularly in Massachusetts' 7th district—a key center for cutting-edge research. "Trump's attack on @NIH funding is a reckless attack on science, innovation, and the people who depend on them."

Finally, on February 12, 2025, Pressley announced her support for #HR40Reparations alongside colleagues in response to what she described as an "unprecedented onslaught of anti-Black policies" by the Trump Administration. She emphasized that this legislative measure is vital for addressing the historical harm caused by slavery and its lasting effects. "As the Trump Administration carries out its unprecedented onslaught of anti-Black policies..."
